I decided to splurge and put one of these in my old Vox VR30 (Older version of the Vox AC30VR) Although i had previously swapped out the greenback in my AC15 for an Eminence Red Fang, i missed the old greenback crunch. i have recently been playing more rock, as opposed to only Beatles music like i used to play. so i put in the new speaker and a new tube and WOW!!! this amp can do everything from Boston to Nirvana, and back again! the clean headroom WAS HALFED, even with a 12at7 tube in my amp. but i hear the speaker just needs to break in more.

All in all, if you are deciding between this and other speakers, go for it! unless you can afford the Celestion G10 Gold (best 10" ever made, period)But the gold lacks the raging distortion that the greenback has

if price isnt an issue, and you love classic rock, go for it, but if you prefer clean sounds and beatles music, go for the Weber Blue pup or the G10 Gold.

I bought some of these because I saw Eric Johnson used this style of string (he has his own signature brand, though). Overall, they are OK. They sound kind of "mellow" or "muted" to me. I don't hate them, but I still think I like GHS Boomers better, especially since I play a lot of clean stuff on my Stratocaster. Removing brightness isn't a bad thing depending on what sound you're going for, so it's not necessarily a negative. If you ARE looking remove some brightness, you may want to consider these.

Seymour Duncan STHR1B Hot Rails Lead Pickup for Telecaster - (New) Review

I was upgrading my daughters telecaster and since she is into heavy rock music we decided to go with the Hot Rails. First off, if you want to keep the tele twang, this is not the pickup for you. However, this pickup does have very nice cleans and if you roll the volume a bit it can be a pretty sweet pickup. Where this pickup really shines though is on your OD channel. I play through a Blackstar HT-5 and this guy can really scream for such a narrow pickup. It really picks up your playing style and squealies are no problem now with this pickup. Also, the installation was easy as can be, the pickup fit right into the bridge with no other modifications needed. If you have a Tele that you want to rock this is a great easy solution.

Alpha Potentiometer, 1Meg Audio (Log) Review

I bought twenty of these based on non-Amazon reviews. Even another online retailer recommended this brand. Took the gamble and purchased a few to test. I cannot tell the difference between this brand and the Fender stock. The item is full size and looks and feels solid. I have not had it long enough to quantify and qualify its reliability and durability. I recommend them based on the feel of the product and guitar expert sites.

BTW, I bought the solid shaft which requires a knob with a side screw. If you plan on using the regular push in knob, be sure to select the split end shaft. Cheers.
