I got this control plate on a complete shot in the dark. It arrived quickly (only 10 days shipped from China, counting weekends and business days) and fits my Squier fretless jazz bass that I blacked out all the hardware on. It is fairly easy to install since it comes pre-wired, but I had to solder almost all the wires back on because they fell apart during shipping. Not a huge complaint, as soldering the electronics in a bass is an area I'm familiar with. If you aren't comfortable doing it yourself, you can have this plate professionally installed and it will work just the same as your original one. The only thing that disappoints me about this plate is that the black finish is cheap and is wearing off the knobs slightly after just a couple months of use.
