Imagine taking the Vintage models and turning up the output. You get a fat and full punch in both the low frequencies and mid-range, yet it retains the muscular twang of the Vintage. The sensitive coil combined with custom length flat pole pieces provides more sustain. Much improved output! Doesn't get "muddy" if wired right. Recommend grounding the metal cover, as most Luthiers do, to avoid slight buzz and hum from outside sources. It is a hot single output so it just makes sense. I tried it in a clean envirnoment and it wasn't noisy until I got near some select electronics we all know mess with our single coils. Can "hotrod" it in series if you choose with some additional soldering. Most Tele DIY sites explain this.
