I gave this foot switch only 3 stars because it was not mentioned in the product description that the switches need to be pushed twice for each activation. This explains why it does not require a power source like the more expensive Roland/Boss foot switch. The construction is lightweight plastic and tends to slide on a wooden floor, but his can be remedied by sticking small rubber feet on the bottom. Although it does have it's drawbacks, no complaint about the price!
