you can a just the depth on the side and use the 8th inch source audio cable which I do or you can use it with a quarter inch cable in the pedal or if you have a MO bass head like I do it works woth that to for a deep filter sweep/wa wa...very tough and sturdy. I would buy this again if it broke..but I don't think it ever will..its a tough pedal..
