It also has a depth knob to control to level of the wah effect and a dry out for mixing a dry signal with the wah sound. The WH10V2 has a unique tone character setting it apart from all traditional wah pedals, as well as some modern tweaks so your sound keeps changing with the times.Ibanez WH10V2 Features:* Multiple feedback opamp circuit* Dry Out Output* Depth Controls from +6 to +20dB* Range Switch allows selection of Guitar or Bass frequencies* Powered by 9V battery or Optional AC109 power supply* Die-cast caseSince the point of having a classic wah pedal is to squeeze every ounce of expression out of a screaming solo or rhythm part, it's easy to see why the original WH10 was a hit when it was first released in the '80s. Now it's back and even better.Ibanez WH10V2 Reissue Wah Wah Guitar Effects Pedal Review
This pedal had amazing tone out of the box. It sounded great, just like the original Wh-10 from the 80's. As a Frusciante fan I was so stoked to get this thing. However the pot on the wah is terrible. It becomes scratchy and horrifying after a while. For $100 bucks I would expect much higher quality internals. Disappointing. If you buy some electronic contact cleaner, open the case up and spray it into the pot, you can get it sounded almost like new, but this will fade within a few months and you'll need to repeat the procedure. There are repo pots on eBay, I may consider..
My biggest complaint is the engaging switch. It is impossible to turn on this wah sitting down, and very difficult even standing up without applying copious amounts of pressure, and you can't even be sure its engaged.
I am considering finding an original WH-10 and swapping the plastic case out with this metal one, but who knows. Overall I'd say spend $70 more and buy the Wilson TenSpot II. Amazing pedal with a true bypass.
This is a crappy reissue. And it saddens me to say it.
