Dunlop JD Jazztone 207 Pick, Large Round Tip, 36 Pack (477R207) Review

My brother is a really good flat picker and introduced me to the Blue Chip pick. The Blue Chip pick is great, but very expensive. I play a low end Takamine acoustic guitar and loved the sound of the expensive pick, but not the cost. The Dunlop 207 is a much less expensive pick that really improves the tone of my guitar. The thickness and shape take some getting used to but I highly recommend it. I have also purchased the Dunlop 208 but find that the 208 does not improve my tone as much as the 207. I seriously enjoy playing with this pick! At first look/touch you think that it is way too thick for the average non-jazz musician. I play blues/folk/bluegrass guitar and this pick makes such a difference in my tone, making the sound much fuller, richer and not as thin as the standard picks we are used to playing with. It seems like it would be hard to move across the strings but it is not. Just grip it firmly, as you would any pick, and let the pick do the job. I highly recommend this pick. You can get a pack of six fairly inexpensively and try them out. I bought that pack of six and then bought a larger bag so I would always have a few on hand. The one thing they do have in common with the thin picks is that they seem to get lost or given away as easily and quickly.
