There are things I love about this stand. It folds up so amazingly compact and it's so lightweight--wow, love it! Throwing it in the gig bag adds so little weight and takes so little space, it's really great.

But the down side goes like this--you're at the gig. Your backup guitar (or 2nd or 3rd guitar...whatever) is on the stand with the strap, ready to go if you need a quick guitar change. You grab it...and the strap is slightly touching the teeth at the front of the stand. The whole stand comes off the ground as you pull the guitar away from it and you're standing there fighting with it to get the strap disentangled. The thing is so lightweight and has such a small rubber-coated footprint that there's little to keep it from moving on a the smooth surface of the floor if any part of the guitar (including the strap) is touching the stand when you begin to move the guitar. This happened to me several times at my first gig with it. I'll have to remember to first make sure my strap is completely clear of the stand that that I am lifting the guitar straight up w/o it coming into contact with the stand. Either that or I'll have to find some way to tape the stand's legs down to the floor.
