George L's Pop-in Acoustic Pickup Review

Well first of all I have never have been a big fan of soundhole pickups for acoustic guitars. I am an LR Baggs fan from way back and have the LR Baggs LB12 installed in both of my Martin 12 string guitars. I actually picked this up for a lady who is doing a duet with me and we needed some kind of amplification for her very old Alvarez 6 string. Well first I placed it in my '03 Martin J1216-GT. Naturally I turned off my LR Baggs because I wanted to see how it could stand alone on its own. I was pleasantly surprised how good a $43 sound hole pickup could sound. Nice ring and kind of a sustain about it but you have to remember this does have humbucker characteristics. And another thing I noted was that it was almost feedback resistant. Which I am sure this is an issue for most soundhole pickups but not this one. George-L hit a home run with me and the bases were loaded with two outs on the 3-2 pitch. For $43 you simply cannot go wrong. So if you looking for a good all around sound hole pickup for your acoustic guitar, than this is the one to go for.
