I have been listening to a large variety of tubes in a large variety of high end audio components for a long time. The New Old Stock RCA's and Svetlanas and GE tubes are highly desirable because new production tubes usually don't measure up, the worst of which can be the Chinese tubes. Although this may not be a Mullard or Siemens, it is modeled after the European ECC802 - An alternative to the ECC82 OR 12AT7. For my money it has a little bit of the midrange and soundstage of the Dutch Amperex and a touch of the Telefunken glow. The sound is very golden and sunny with a solid midrange and very nice, if not overly pronounced bass. A very nice balance and extremely musical and engaging. At this price it is simply a steal and a great choice if it's the music you care about.
