Fishman Nashville Series Resophonic Pickup Spider-style Review

This purchase was the third of these wonderful pick-ups I now have. The first two I had installed by a very experienced luthier on my two square neck resonator guitars. This one I chose to install myself on the my round neck resonator. The key to installing yourself, beside having experience in resonator set-ups (and I won't discuss here), is handling the leads VERY carefully and ONLY using the adjustable spider that you can buy through Beard Guitars. The pick up should slip into the spider bridge without much force and be firmly seated. The set screws only need to secure the saddle. You are not torquing lug nuts. Then you begin the process of shaping the saddle (or not), if a round neck and lightly notching for string placement. If you are happy with your current saddle set-up, then take plenty of measurements to assure you duplicate the height, spacing, etc. Note: this pick-up was designed to be played through the companion Jerry Douglas Fishman Aura Pedal and should be a condition of your deciding to purchase the pick-up.
