I purchased the K&M through Amazon and am now ordering two more to replace my support on the bottom and rest on the neck stands. The angle of the guitar on the unit is slight, just what you would expect. I teach classical guitar and have no reserve about placing very expensive guitars on this unit.There are no close seconds, this unit is a rock. Unless you smash your guitar on it, it will not scratch the surface
of your instrument. The On Stage and other less expensive brands will hold your guitar they just are not as sturdy as this unit. It's heavy, will not tip over and offers the best protection against scratching your investment.
