GODIN 036233 Luthier Grade Guitar Polish 16 oz. Review

I use this Godin cleaner/Polish for all my acoustic guitars and for my basses. I used it on my Fender American Vintage '62 Precision bass, which has a nitro finish; with excellent results. I also used it on MIJ Fender 70's Reissue Precision Bass, which has a lacquer finish and it cleans it up beautifully.

All of my acoustic guitars have a satin/matte finish and this cleaner does an equally beautiful job with them. I get better results by repeating the cleaning/polishing process on each guitar.

The first wiping seems to do all the cleaning and wipes up all the grunge and grime that gets ont rhe guitars. Then I wait about five minutes and I do a second wiping and that really creates a nice luster. Not really a shine or gloss, but just a beautiful clean finish, which looks brand new. The mahogany wood and ceder wood on my acoustics, really seem to radiate the beauty of the wood, when I do it this way. Another thing, it seems like when you're doing it, it just looks clean and when you're finished...it looks ...cleaen. But then, I put the guitar on the guitar stand (or back in the case). When I come back later (or the next day), the finish looks absolutely beautiful.

This is a really gentle cleaner...and as advertised, not abrasive, whatsoever. it also does a great job on the hardware, without damaging the chrome/metal, whatsoever. It cleans it up nicely and shiney. I haven't tried it on Black of Gold finished hardware, yet. But I will soon. I'll report back if there's any negative affects.

Also, as advertised, there's no residue or build up from this cleaner. Which I love.
