What can be said! This is a great idea. A little pricey, but worth it. You would be amazed at the versatility this adds. I myself like the parallel mode. Still humbucking but has a single coil character to it. The switches are small, and should be that way. Consequently, dont think your going to make a switch on the fly during a song. I guess it could be done if you have a long enough pause in the song, and your quick about it.

Another reviewer had said that the wiring was wrong and backwards. I doubt that. All different manufacturers have different wiring colors, and you need to decipher witch one does what. There are numerous websites out there that have the color codes including the duncan site.

Now strictly speaking about low output humbuckers this seems to work great. But it seems the more gain and more distortion you add the less the noticable difference there is. Alnico 2 humbuckers im using.

If your thinking about it, I would buy them. Well worth it to me!

This OD pedal does all I need it to do. I have two small tube amps, and was experimenting with OD pedals. I borrowed a Maxon OD808 and a Fulltone FullDrive2MosFet. A few ground rules: I have two small tube amps - a vintage Silvertone 1451 and a Laney "Lionheart" L5T-112. And I play classic Chicago-style blues--so I'm not looking for wild-ass overdrive. I found none of the pedals produced tone I couldn't get overdriving the Silvertone. Pushing the Drive channel on the Laney, and cranking the CTO2, I get tones that sound (to me) like the last Metallica concert I attended. For me, the utility is as a real nice "click and go" boost for soloing, that sounds just like pushing the drive channel-without needing to stop playing to twist knobs. This pedal sounded every bit as good as as the Maxon and Fulldrive--to my ears--for about 1/3 the price. A great little stompbox at a great price. Petty darn sturdy construction, too.

Pickup, Gretsch Filtertron neck, chrome Review

This pickup has a nice soft tone and warm sound great for jazz to blues. I customized this pickup in a semi hollow body copy of a Gibson and it sounds great. I had to bent the tabs down and soldered the bracket that I broke off the Humbucker.

Tech 21 TM-30 30W, 1x10 Guitar Combo/Direct Recording Amp Review

I've owned a Tech21 Trademark 10 (and a Trademark 60) for a number of years now, so when the 30 came out it was a no-brainer to buy one. This amp is essentially identical to the Trademark 10, with more output and a different speaker- but that additional 30 watts makes a lot of difference.

The 10 was a great practice and recording amp, but didn't quite have enough oomph for playing gigs (although some guys ran the output into the PA, which worked well). But the 30 is a LOUD little amp, and it seems to have a bit more low end, too. I'd have no problem at all using this little amp for gigs in small or medium sized halls.

Like the 10 it replaces, the 30 has a tremendous range of sounds- it can mimic just about any amp you've ever heard. And the reverb sound- something usually skimped on in tiny amps- is gorgeous. The box contains a real 3-spring Accutronic reverb, just like the big boys. Thinking back to the Fender Princeton I started with as a kid, this little amp has far more sounds, it's twice as loud, and adjusting for inflation, probably less than half the price.

Strongly recommended as a practice amp, a recording amp, a performance amp for small venues, a travel amp, a front end for running into the board in big halls... the possibilities are limitless. Maybe the best little amp on the market today.
