I love D'Addario strings, and I love performing on fresh strings! As a gigging, weekend, musician, I'm changing strings on 1 or 2 guitars a week. However, when I purchased this, I wasn't aware that the strings were not completely sealed. They are packaged in such a way that all strings of one gauge are together... you just grab the ball end and pull a string out of the roll/bunch. They are not sealed individual sets!
I'm not sure if I can use these fast enough before any tarnish might start to set in. So unless you're changing a lot of strings, in a reasonably short time frame, I might suggest paying a bit more for the 10 pack of individually sealed sets.

Dunlop Delrin Pick, 1.14mm (Magenta), 12 pack (41P1.14) Review

As I write this, there are only two other reviews for these things and nothing else--both negative. One states that they're upset that they got one color instead of a variety of colors, which is a user error, and the other complains about the seller, which should be kept to the seller feedback section of Amazon. Neither of them represent how great these picks are.

About a month ago I picked up three new picks at my guitar store--the 2.0 mm Jim Dunlop Delrin pick (the dark purple one in the photo), a Jim Dunlop 208 jazz pick, and 1.52 mm Clayton USA teardrop pick. Mere weeks before that, my lovely wife got me a gift of a pack of the well-known and very expensive V-Picks (you won't find those on Amazon). Also, strewn about my house are tons of 0.60 mm Jim Dunlop nylon picks (my standard for over a decade), and Jim Dunlop .71 mm Gator Grip picks. Among all those choices, I keep a very close eye on where my 2.0 mm Delrin pick is, because it's really the only one I want to use anymore.

Its features that might be of interest to you would be:

1) it does not flex or bend. At all. Apparently they're designed to be that way.
2) it has a very smooth texture--no grip built into the surface. Much to my surprise, though, I've never dropped it, and I use it literally every day.
3) it lasts. As I said, I use it every day. I've used it for at least an hour, usually 3 or more, per day, for the last month. I've got some wear on the normal spots on either side of the pick, but my gray nylon Dunlop would be a stub by now, and the V-pick that I use the most is just as worn as the Delrin one is, but I've used it only a fraction of the time in comparison.
4) the 2.0 mm feels comfortable. I know full well that's a preference thing, but I'm still fascinated that I enjoy the feel of a thick pick so much.
5) the tone is strong and bright with these, and the pick itself is quiet. I primarily play a Gretsch G-5122 with 12-guage DR strings. My lighter picks provide big sound, but they have almost have a "pop" to them when I strum or play individual notes. My V-picks grate across the winding on my lower strings, and produce a much mellower tone. My Delrin doesn't grate and creates a big sound.
6) it's reasonably fast. I mentioned earlier I also have a Jim Dunlop 208. If you want a fast pick, go with that bad boy--it's designed for nothing else. I have difficulty getting 16th notes at anything over 110 bpm with my Delrin. Part of that is technique, but the design of the pick also plays a significant part. I won't call this a flaw, but this is one area that it's not perfectly outstanding.

So there you go, now you can determine for yourself if you want one of these picks or not.

Mighty Mite Guitar & Bass Pickguard Screws Qty 100 - Black Review

They're self tapping screws but the heads will break off if you try to tap them into any hardwood without predrilling, or even an undersized pre-drilling. They were fine for my softwood body but I also used them to screw my tuning machines to my headstock but until I bumped up the size of the drill bit they would snap before they were completely tightened.

They're still decent screws at a decent price, and I'll keep using them, but I'd probably try out something else if I were to buy this quantity again.

DR Strings Pure Blues Pure Nickel Wrap Round Core 9/46 Review

A truly outstanding string because of the material and construction. Round wound core, and pure nickel is exactly what you want. You get more harmonics, and a rich vintage sound. They also bend and flex better than most strings. Stay away from hexagon core, steel (which sounds bright and tinny), and all the other hype and rock star endorsements that are attached to strings. These are strings that are made to the original old fashioned crafted standards of decades past. They are more expensive but sound better and last longer. IMO they are worth more and are a justifiable cost. There are other brands that make pure nickel round wound strings, they are likely great to as i firmly beleive it is not the brand that makes the string but the material and the construction type. DR's are easy to find in stock, making them an ideal choice.

I just bought this beauty and Im just amazed! the tone is so clear jet punchy. The overdrive can go hard rock levels but I dont consider that it can go further than that without lacking that metal punch you get in amps like Mesa,Marshall or other Orange models. It can be done I guess but it doesnt sound right to me. This is a the perfect amp for practice, recording and even for a small gig band. It is loud! Orange is the kind of amp that has 35 but sounds like a 50W so u can play side by side with a drumer with no problems at all. Eric johnson, ACDC,ZZTOP,and countless other bands tones are achivable with this combo.

Dimarzio 2" Clip Lock Cotton Black Guitar Strap Review

This is not my first DiMarzio Clip Lock purchase - I've put them on two other guitars over the years. So I like them. But that's basically because I can't find an alternative.

They definitely do what they're supposed to - ensuring that your strap won't disconnect suddenly or unexpectedly. If my experience with my other Clip Locks is any indicator, these things will last a long time. The latching mechanism itself is not "industrial strength," but is fairly robust.

But as far as straps go, these are pretty low-rent. Not that they're poorly made - they're sturdy enough - but in the style and comfort departments, they're nothing special. But the price is way over on the premium side. Put it this way - if you take out the "clip lock" aspect of this strap, this thing should be in the bargain bin for 99 cents at you local Guitar Centre.

The strings that came on my Michael Kelly Club acoustic bass guitar.were OK to start but quickly went dead. The E string was the worst - reduced to an indistinct thumping noise. I restrung the bass with the DRs, and the difference was instant and obvious! These strings produce strong, clear tones without being too twangy. My bass's volume seems a bit stronger, too, but it's a fairly quiet instrument unplugged, and that's not fixable just by putting on new strings. But then, that's what amplifiers are for :-)
