There seems to be big problems with La Bella strings. Last summer while putting a new set of La Bella Beatle Bass flat wounds on my German Hofner the G string broke where it was joined to the end bead while tuning. I was a bit shocked as I have never broken a bass string before and especially was surprised with the tiny machine heads a Hofner has that it could happen. This was the first bass string I ever broke in my life and I have been playing since 1968. About two months ago the exact same thing happened at the same place with the G string on a set of La Bella flat wound full scale strings. I was putting them on my 1972 precision at the time. I swore I would never buy a pair of your strings again, but broke down yesterday when I needed flat wounds and La Bella's were the only brand the store carried. I put a set of full scale flat wounds on my American Standard P bass last night. While playing today the E string broke where it goes over the bridge. I contacted customer service and some guy named Eric says send back the string for a replacement. They don't seem to care about the quality control issue. I have only broken three strings in my over 30 years of playing. All La Bella, All this year, and all on different basses. BEWARE!

These rack bags are quite nice and a pretty good deal for the money. The storage pouch on the side is handy for those little things that go along with the gear - antennas, earbuds, whatever else you might have.

I gig frequently, and I've only ever had one issue with these: The back needs a little support where the feet are. One of mine loosened up, so I reinforced it with two blocks of 2x2 cut to the right height and painted flat black, one on each side. That completely fixed the problem. In fact, now whenever I buy one, I make that mod before mounting any gear. Saves me the trouble of doing it later. :)

Shubb C1B Brass Capo for Steel String Guitars Review

Simple, compact, well constructed, easy to use, and sounds good; all things you would look for in a capo.

This is the original Shubb capo, designed for most acoustic guitars with metal strings. The Shubb website describes the huge range of specific capos they make, each with their own specialized use. The C1 is probably the most universal of all the models. This fits a Les Paul Traditional 08 (Gibson Les Paul Traditional Plus Electric Guitar, Heritage Cherry Sunburst), a PRS SE Custom 22 Guitar, Grey Black with Tremolo Bridge, and Epiphone LP Special II Les Paul Collection Electric Guitar, Vintage Sunburst electrics. The primary use is for a Laguna acoustic.

Follow the simple instruction card included with the capo to adjust the tension. It's key to not get too much tension.

We've had trouble figuring out where to park this capo. Mostly it goes in a pocket. Once the capo is adjusted to fit the neck, it doesn't clamp tight on the headstock. Not a huge deal, but a consideration.

Fender Skirted Replacement Guitar Amp Knob Review

Purchased three of these for a custom rebuild of a guitar. I used solid shaft pots so I needed knobs with set screws. These knobs look great, (a little larger than a standard guitar knob, but not too big), and they compliment the new 3 layer black pickguard. Just remember that to use on a guitar, you need at least 2" center to center spacing or they will be too close.
