Safe Case ATA Case Fender Hot Rod DeVille 410 Amp Review

Sturdy, well made, solid, mobile.

These cases are made very well. They aren't the 3/8" thick material you get on cases meant to fly - it is 1/4" - which is more than good enough for road travel, local or regional bands and churches.

The padding inside is very thick and dense, protecting your gear from damage in case of an accident.

Rivets and corners are all heavy duty. As a matter of fact, the hardware is ALL heavy duty.

I especially like the handle on top that you can grasp while walking the case down long hallways and corridors without having to bend over to push the unit.

Nice big wheels roll over large bumps and cracks and the caster are heavy duty just like the rest of the hardware.

I have two of these cases - one the the Hot Rod Deville 4x10 and one for my Hot Rod Deluxe. I love them both.

I will have Safe Case make me cases for all of my gear.

Peavey Classic 30/112 Tube Combo Amp Tweed Review

I picked this amp up second hand after reading a lot of positive reviews and listening to it on YouTube. I have had it for about six months now (as of July 2011) and this amp continues to impress. Mine is a little older about 2004-05 in black tweed. I have used this amp on the gain channel and it sounds amazing, but where it really shines is on the clean channel with a MXR Distortion +. It has plenty of guts for any room I have ever played including outdoor gigs. This amp just sparkles while my Fender Blues Jr. and DeVille 410 sit on the bench. I also have a mid 90s Peavey Classic 50 212. All these amps are great, but my first choice is the Classic 30. Smaller size makes it easy to haul around. Durable too, it took a nasty fall in the back of our cargo van and slid to the back, powered up and worked fine ever since. Peavey has a reputation of building dependable and durable equipment. I recommend this amp as a gigging musician and guitar player since 1985. Take a chance on this one and enjoy!

Behringer SO400 Super Octaver Ultimate Octaver Effects Pedal Review

Recieved this pedal a couple of days ago, and it's a hit. I decided I needed one of these after watching several youtube demos. I had originally purchased it to transform my guitar signal into bass for recording on Garage Band. This pedal is quite funky, and it really can really summons the Bootsy Collins. You can dial in up to two octives below your line, and add a little hair to it distortion-wise if you like. If you are a fan of funk and you don't want to break the bank, this gets the job done. I've read all kinds of Behrenger bashing online- mostly from gear snobs, but also from folks that received a faulty product. The plain truth is: these pedals are cheaply manufactured in order to keep the cost down. Yes the case is made of plastic (strong ABS plastic) and the knobs and jacks feel a little dicey. There is a tiny chance that your unit will not power up out of the box (though this has never happened to me with any of the 8 or so Behringer pedals I own.) This is not the bullet-proof construction of say a ProCo Rat. Still, if you treat these pedals with an ounce of respect, you will end up with a durable and quite enjoyable clone of timeless pedal (and for cheap!) I've had the TS808 clone on my board for about a year and it's amazing (TO800)- and not a single problem.

I have 2 identical Excelsior (Fender 13 watt Class A) side by side.
So an A/B test was easy to do. I changed out the 6v6's on one and
not the other and there it was. IMHO an instantly better, warmer sound
I could hear. There are more than a few options for tubes, I went

Behringer RM600 Rotary Machine Ultimate Rotary Speaker Modeling Effects Pedal Review

I was skeptical that this pedal could deliver at this price, but I bought it anyway. I have a couple of other Behringer products that I have been happy with.

Construction: The pedal body looks like metal, but it is all plastic. If you take care of your stuff, it will probably last. The battery is more difficult to replace than say, a Boss pedal.

Sound: I've never owned a rotating speaker, so I don't know if it faithfully reproduces sounds from the speaker models it emulates... all I know is that it sounds great! I especially like that it emulates the sound of the speaker as it ramps up and down in speed; cool.

I've also heard other rotating speaker effects, which tend to sound like plain old tremolo. This one does not. My opinion is that it emulates the rotating sound quite well.

Conclusion: For the price, this is a superb pedal. I like it so much that I plan to buy the others in this series.
