The Joyo JF-02 is simply the nicest sounding overdrive in the price range.

Many people have mentioned that this unit is a clone of another more expensive "boutique" overdrive called the OCD. Well it is, and it sound identical to that unit.

I had the opportunity to A/B test the Joyo against a friends OCD. We set the pedals volume, tone, and drive knobs to the same settings and bingo! no difference in the sound. We tested for about an hour using different setting and did a "blind" sound test. I A/B'ed the two pedals and had my friend look away as not to see which unit was on. He could not tell the difference and admitted he was guessing most of the time while he was trying to predict which pedal was being used at any given time.

The unit seems well built. Sturdy feeling switch and pots, solid dicast metal box, smooth but locking input,output and 9V adaptor input.
