Great variety pack of pics. A pack like this is GREAT for letting a player experiment with different pick shapes, different sizes, and different thicknesses. And all of us can probably benefit from once really experimenting with the picks we use. It's great to be exposed to the basic different sorts of Jazz-style' speed picks and 'regular shaped standard' picks. Rather than making you buy a variety of different picks one by one by one, this pack gives you a great mix in one package for about the same price (if not less).

I've used both of these. The Black Ice jazz-style speed picks are currently among my favorite pics. I finally made the change to a smaller, stiffer jazz pick and have never had more command and control of my picking. Awesome find for me. I've also used the Joe Satriani picks. THey are actually really cool as well. A nicely made standard shape celluloid pick.Right now, I'm seriously loving the Black Ice Extra Heavy 1.5mm speed picks. I'm about to pick up more 1.0mm Black Ice Heavy and will try their lighter, thinner speed picks (the Black Ice Medium and Black Ice Light). Great material for me (reminds me of tortex) Nice grip too. For info's sake, the Satch picks are about the same size as a Fender pick, tho maybe a little larger and thicker and have a nice solid feel that reacts well to their feel in your hand. The Black Ice picks are slightly bigger than a Dunlop Jazz III, with the point still sharp, but slightly more rounded. Still very solid, accurate, and are really expressive in my hand.
