The "secret" is the extremely unique Shape control that lets you determine how much of the low frequency content is affected by the chorus. It functions very much like a crossover circuit, allowing you to keep the bottom-end full and tight, while creating stunning top-end shimmer. The Level control is used to raise and lower the output of the BUC400 and the Rate and Depth controls set the speed and fullness of the chorus effect.

I recently purchased the Behringer BUC400 Ultra Chorus pedal. I was skeptical because of the price. I'm a working musician,and don t like a lot of effects on my bass because they tend to muddy up the tone and take away the "punch",but this little pedal adds the chorus effect I occasionally want,yet maintain the integrity of my bass tone. I would recommend this pedal to anyone not wanting to give an arm and leg for it,but want a decent chorus effect. So far after a few weeks, it s held up on the road etc. I run AC to it,because I'm not a big fan of batteries,so I don t really know how long the batteries would last. All in all,a lot of bang for the buck !
