I've had these on three of my guitars for about 5 months now. Up until now, I really like them and would have given them 5 stars, but last week I had the neck side strap button get ripped out of the body of one of my LP clones. Looking at low-rated reviews from some of the other models reveals that this is not an isolated incident. The rigid plastic end tends to act as a lever, or as a claw hammer works, in the words of one of those other reviewers.

Note that this tendency may depend a bit on your playing style and the type guitar you have. My friend, who was using the guitar when it fell off, tends to hold the LP style guitar on the right side of his body. The strap then extends out, away from the guitar body, which is what puts the leverage on it. By comparison, I tend to hold the guitar more in the middle of my body or even a bit to the left, so the strap tends to push up against the body, which means that there is no leverage on it at all. Similarly, the Strat style guitar tends to sit more in the front of the body and it doesn't have that flat side of the guitar to leverage off of, so it probably wouldn't be a problem with that style.

Still, I'm going to get more traditional style straps to replace the three of these I bought because I don't want to take the chance of having another button ripped out and the guitar falling to the floor and causing more damage than just a ripped out button.

got this pedal based on demos I saw on youtube, they are misleading.
the pedal itself has a very light octave effect and the fuzz is weak unless pushed by another fuzz or into a seriously loud amp.Hendrix did use insane volume and pushed this pedal with another, basically by itself it is weak and flabby.the other thing that bugged me about it was that it is battery powered only, no 9v adapter port. if you want a good octave up effect i suggest theElectro-Harmonix Micro POG Polyphonic Octave Generator and for a great fuzz take your pick (Way Huge Electronics WHE401 Swollen Pickle mkII Jumbo Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal is my choice), there are plenty of good ones,you will get a thicker sound and greater fidelity, even if you're going for the hendrix sound, unless you plan on recreating his rig.

Before his untimely and senseless death Darrell "Dimebag" Abbott was just beginning to share with us the tools that helped shape his signature sound. From Randall Amps to Dean Guitars Dimebag's endorsement would be an indication to guitarists that the piece of equipment in questions was designed for maximum aural assault.

One piece of equipment in my opinion that best captures Dimebag's sound is probably the most misunderstood, Seymour Duncan's Dimbucker hi-output pickup. The Dimebucker weighs in at 16.25 k we are talking about twice as hot as your average rock pickup. Once you step on your distortion box strap in, you are about to see how hot this pickup actually is. The Dimebucker will take you on a wild ride. The hi tones are crystal clear and bright despite this pickup having an incredibly low bottom and powerful bass.

The Dimebucker gives you guttural crunching rhythms and searing leads. Bent notes seem to never choke out as the sustain goes on forever. With dropped tunings the bass remains round and clear without sacrificing a bit of the hi-end of the guitar.

As expected this is a monster metal pickup. What wasn't expected is this pickup is awesome for classic rock also. Without the aid of a stompbox the Dimebucker has just enough heat to overdrive your amp naturally. I found myself immersed in the British Invasion. The pickup was nailing some of Keith Richards more distorted tones and was a nice match for a few Who tunes. Even when playing some of Paul McCartney's more aggressive guitar lines from The Beatles like Taxman the pickup did an awesome job.

Adding to the awesome dynamics of tone I installed a coil split switch on my Dimebucker. Split this pickup sounds incredible. Still clear and balanced with beautiful harmonic overtones but obviously slightly less aggressive.

For those of you shredders and medal gods looking for a replacement pickup look no further. The Dimebucker is phenomenal. You classic rock guys, don't be afraid of the dark. It just might be time for you to mix it up a bit. The response and sustain you will get with this pickup is jaw dropping.

I have a Dimebucker in the bridge of my 1980 Ibanez Iceman with a Seymour Duncan Jazz in the neck. Both pickups are coil split and I installed a phase switch. I don't think there is a guitar tone this combo can't nail.

WD Music B5 Bigsby Vibrato Tailpiece Review

I bought this because I was converting a Rickenbacher 325 into the guitar John Lennon used on The Beatles' first Ed Sullivan appearance. This is the correct Bigsby, but I had to remove the black from around the raised Bigsby logo on the bottom, and replaced the blind-head bold with a Phillips' head. It was easy enough to scrape off the black paint with a pointed object.

BBE Soul Vibe Analog Univibe Effect Pedal for Guitars, Basses and Keyboards Review

Built solid. Comes with an adapter and battery. Simple controls. Internal tone pot set at factory, and actually is just fine. You can dial in some nice SRV sounds ala little wing, or something less rotary shifting into hendrix territory. Trower and Floyd settings, that ain't too shabby. You can set it for a nice subtle shimmer, which I use when shifting into a chorus, to just add something different from the verse. Or you can get Leslie effect. It's got 2 stages, which is sort of like an old MXR phase 45. It's far creamier than the current MXR 90, which is a 4 stage phaser, which has, to me, an unwelcome aggressive distortion.

Overall, if you're looking for a univibe, phase or rotary effect that's extremely portable (don't expect it be like a rack unit or a stand alone leslie) and accept it for what it is, you won't be disappointed.

Don't be fooled by the price. This thing will get the job done and put a smile on your face! I have always been a big fan of Visual Sound and had three of their pedals before purchasing this one. After reading some good reviews I decided to give the Axle Grease a try. I couldn't believe the sound quality for a $70 pedal! The description says it's an analog/digital hybrid but I hardly notice a difference between this and my $180 boutique all-analog delay. There are three knobs: time, repeats, and level. It's very easy to find the sound you're looking for, from simple Rockabilly slapback to crazy infinite repeats for psycedelic rock. I've used it every weekend for the past 4 months with no problems, the thing's built like a tank! With quality and prices like this, I'll be sticking with Visual Sound for a long time.
