Traditional Gig Bag for Precision Bass and Jazz BassFender 099-1422-106 Traditional Gig Bag for Precision Bass and Jazz Bass Review
I bought a new fretless Squier jazz bass to mess around with, and didn't feel like throwing down $100+ on a hard shell case. Guitar Center severely over charges you in most cases, and a gig bag like this would run for $50 there. Instead, I paid $25 on Amazon. As a gig bag, it does its intended purpose. I have this bass laying flat on an unused guest bed, and the padding protects it just fine. I wouldn't recommend standing a jazz bass like mine up in this bag, as it will probably tip over. A precision bass would have no problem with this bag (tried it with my own) however. I'll eventually get a hard shell case for my jazz bass when I have the money, but for now this gig bag was inexpensive and better than leaving it sitting in a stand all day.Pros
-Decent for storage in a safe area
-Large external zipper pouch
-Cheaper than a hard shell case
-The zipper pulls are guitar pick shaped. Pretty cool.
Cons
-Much less protection than a hard shell case
